Stonepath Meadow and Gleneagles Way

21st August 2017

The Planning Inspectorate is seeking views on two planning applications in Hatfield Peverel which were called in by the Secretary of State after representations were made by local MP Priti Patel. The applications for 140 dwellings on land at Stonepath Meadow and 120 dwellings on a site off of Gleneagles Way had been approved by Braintree District Council but an inquiry will now be held to inform the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government's decision. Priti said:

"Residents in Hatfield Peverel have fought hard to save these two sites from development. With an inquiry now taking place it is important that we continue to make a strong case to keep these two sites free from the developments proposed. I would encourage residents to voice their opposition to these developments."
