Silver End Primary School

6th September 2017
Local MP, Priti Patel, is delighted to welcome the announcement that Witham based Multi Academy Trust (MAT), Connected Learning, will take over the management of the Silver End Primary School from the 1 September 2017.

The decision to allow Connected Learning to take the leadership is based in the interest to secure the best possible local provision for its current and future students.

The Silver End Primary School currently has 314 pupils on roll and there are no plans to alter the admissions criteria. All students on roll will continue their education as currently planned in the new academy.

Priti commented:
“This is excellent news for pupils and parents of the Silver End Primary School.

“The Connected Learning MAT has received regional and national praise for raising standards and educational outcomes for all pupils. Academy status will raise the attainment of all children at this school and bring about vital improvement.

“The Government's education reforms have seen a dramatic improvement in results, particularly for disadvantaged children because the primary purpose of academy conversion is to promote excellence.

“Parents will join with me in welcoming this decision as it will promote each pupil to achieve their full potential”
