Road Investment

7th February 2017

Local MP Priti Patel welcomes further road maintenance funding for Essex. Priti has commented that:

“Tens of thousands of drivers use Essex’s roads and highways each and every day, making infrastructure in the County amongst the busiest in the whole of the UK. I know first-hand from discussions with constituents and from travelling across the constituency, that there are many highways which require urgent and immediate repair works.

I welcome the £28 million investment in highways throughout Essex, including £1.8 million to be prioritised specifically toward repairing potholes and would recommend that constituent’s register any pothole or highways repairs through Essex County Council’s website.

I will also be continuing to bring any highways issues that my constituent’s may have to the attention of the County Council and will be pushing for renewed focus toward improving the road network throughout the Witham constituency.”
