Rivenhall Incinerator

14th August 2017

Local MP Priti Patel is supporting residents in opposing the latest planning application for the Rivenhall Incinerator. An application has been submitted to Essex County Council to increase the height of the chimney stack. The incinerator was originally granted planning permission by the then Labour Government in 2010 but has been changed significantly with further applications since. Priti said:

"I am supporting residents in opposing this latest planning application for the Rivenhall Incinerator. The incinerator plans continue to change and this shows how unsuitable this site is for waste incineration. The impact on the local community will be severe and this development is wrong."
