Health Centre Campaign

29th September 2017

On the 29 September 2017, local MP, Priti Patel, met with Mr Martin Royal, Project Manager at Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (MECCG), to discuss plans being drawn up to build the new health centre in Witham.

A full business case will be submitted to NHS England from Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group for its approval in the coming weeks before the next stages can commence.

Priti said:

“I welcome the progress that has been made on my campaign to improve Witham’s healthcare facilities.

Transforming patient experience, modernising access and improving patient outcomes are central to my work as Witham’s Member of Parliament. The new centre will be designed and based on local patient data ensuring it addresses Witham’s healthcare needs both now and into the future.

When you back the NHS with investment, both patients and taxpayers see the practical benefits. For patients it’ll mean easier GP appointments, new equipment and an increase in service provision.”
