Aviva Community Fund

26th October 2017

Local MP, Priti Patel, is calling on constituents from across the Witham constituency to lend their support by voting for community projects shortlisted in the Aviva Community Fund - a nationwide initiative that lends a cash boost to grassroots sports clubs and local causes that are backed by the community.

Currently there are ten worthy local projects competing for funding located in Witham, Tiptree, Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Silver End and Coggeshall. The projects are seeking grants between £1,000-£25,000 and include a therapy fund for children with complex disabilities and additional needs; much needed renovations to school facilities; and, new sporting equipment for youth clubs.

Priti commented:

“This year’s shortlist of projects displays the strength of our community and showcases all those who work tirelessly to make living in our towns and villages healthier, happier, safer and brighter.

Each project is very deserving of funding. However, in order to succeed, residents must get behind them by supporting them with votes. I urge everyone to get online, register, vote the projects and share amongst your family and friends.”

Registration and the casting of votes must take place before 21 November 2017. The ten nominees from the Witham constituency are:
