A120 Roadworks

15th August 2017

Local MP Priti Patel has been raising residents’ concerns about roadworks taking place on the A120 in the Marks Tey area. Complaints made by residents include the impact of the works, the disruption caused and noise. Priti has raised these issues with Highways England and has been informed by hem that the works are due to finish in early September 2017. Priti said:

“The inconvenience and delays from these works has affected residents. Highways England have informed me that the delays have been due to issues with street lighting and underground services. However, the disruption to residents and noise from the works has been alarming and I expect more action to be taken to reduce this. Although the works are now set to be complete in September, I expect Highways England to improve their communications to local residents and the actions they are taking to reduce disruption.”
